Acclaimed artist, activist and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee Joan Baez brings her forthcoming album Whistle Down The Wind (out on March 2) to Roy Thomson Hall.
Recorded over a ten-day period in L.A., Whistle Down The Wind (the first release from Baez since 2008’s Grammy-nominated album, Day After Tomorrow), was produced by three-time Grammy Award-winner Joe Henry (Bonnie Raitt, Allen Toussaint and others) and includes songs written by Tom Waits, Anohni, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Josh Ritter, Eliza Gilkyson and more. Rolling Stone calls the album “a moving reflection and summation of Baez’s life as a singer, musician and activist.”
