Join us for the first annual Toronto Music Entrepreneurship Exchange – an afternoon of networking, learning, and dialogue on digital literacy, intelligent business planning in music, and career options in the music and arts sector.

Hosted by the Faculty of Music, Career Exploration and Education, and ONRamp Entrepreneurship at UofT, the event is an opportunity to:

— Network with music and arts organizations, funders and granting agencies, programmers and promoters, and independent musicians
— Engage in panel discussions on current and emerging industry trends
— Seek career advice from U of T faculty, students, alumni and industry partners
— Discover resources and pathways for both research and entrepreneurship opportunities
The event is free and open to the public.

1:30 PM Session 1 — UofT Voices in the Music Industry
This panel features UofT alumni that have dedicated their careers to the music industry. Panelists will share their stories from and experiences in leadership positions in the music and entertainment industry.

3:00 PM Session 2 — The Entrepreneurial Artist

This panel focuses on the skills and knowledge necessary to work independently and in collaboration with organizations in Toronto and across Canada, as well as the resources UofT provides to support artists at all stages of their education and careers. Discussion topics include business practices, marketing strategies, and emerging career opportunities.
