The Joyful Project presents Concert for Socks in Toronto with Jane’s Party, Skye Wallace, Paper Shakers, and Britta B. Bring socks to donate to local organization, Youth Without Shelter. Socks are often the most requested yet least donated item at homeless shelters. It is an item that is often overlooked as a donation. It also serves as a reminder of how much we all have in common with one another. Behind these practical needs in our community are real people with real stories. We will also be donating all profits from the concert to Youth Without Shelter. We’re excited about a stellar night of music with a purpose to build community and share in a common goal together. Relationships are important to us at The Joyful Project, so when we are selecting a local organization to partner with for the Concert for Socks we find people that have a loving relationship with those who will receive these clean new socks. Each donation then becomes a continuation of an established relationship built around trust and compassion and not just another handout. Bring your friends, bring socks, it’s gonna be a great night.
Youth Without Shelter (YWS) is an emergency residence and referral agency serving homeless youth. We are dedicated to providing shelter and support programs for homeless youth ages 16-24. We provide an independent shelter, committed to diverse client focused services, in a safe, nonjudgmental environment. Our programs enable youth to live responsibly and independently in society.
Concert for Socks is proud to support this great local initiative and excited to be joined by some fantastic local artists who are passionate about their city. See you December 6th!
