Whether you are an activist, a social justice worker, or a change maker in your community, life can sometimes get challenging and overwhelming. At the Community Action Centre we care about the work that you do, because we know it makes a difference. But we also care about your wellbeing while doing this work. With that in mind, we have developed “Sustaining Our Change-Making: Your Anti-Burnout Coping Series”. A series of 6 workshops that incorporate some Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) skills, and other tools that could be useful to sustain social justice workers and change makers. During the 6 workshops you will explore and learn from peers about coping with distress, mindfulness, emotions, communication, setting boundaries and conflict resolution.
